Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 May 2026
1. Overview
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Booq, including our website, mobile application, booking pages, scheduling tools, and related services.
Booq helps mobile service providers manage bookings around working areas, availability, travel, and client demand. By creating an account or using Booq, you agree to these terms.
If you use Booq on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that business.
2. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to providers who use Booq to manage bookings, clients who book through Booq, and visitors who use our website or public booking pages.
A provider is a business or professional who offers services through Booq. A client is a person who requests or makes a booking with a provider.
3. What Booq does
Booq provides software that lets providers set services, prices, availability, working areas, booking links, and booking rules.
Booq may highlight recommended times that help keep bookings close together, reduce travel, or fit better into the provider day. These recommendations are guidance only. Providers remain in control of their availability and the bookings they accept.
4. Accounts
Providers must provide accurate account, business, service, price, availability, and contact information. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account.
You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
5. Provider responsibilities
Providers are responsible for the services they offer, the information they publish, the prices they display, and the bookings they accept.
- Keep service details, prices, availability, and areas accurate
- Honour confirmed bookings or communicate changes clearly
- Make cancellation, deposit, no-show, travel fee, and refund terms clear before a client books
- Comply with laws that apply to your business and services
6. Client bookings
Clients can use Booq booking pages to request or make bookings with providers. A booking may be subject to provider confirmation, availability, payment requirements, cancellation rules, and other provider terms shown during the booking flow.
Booq is not a party to the service contract between a provider and a client. The provider is responsible for providing the booked service.
7. Payments and subscriptions
Some Booq features may be free, paid, trial-based, or subscription-based. Prices, billing periods, included features, and cancellation options will be shown in the relevant checkout, account, or subscription screen.
Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. Booq does not store full payment card details unless we clearly say otherwise. Third-party payment terms may also apply.
Providers are responsible for taxes connected with their business, bookings, and income.
8. Cancellations, no-shows, and refunds
Providers are responsible for setting and displaying their own cancellation, deposit, no-show, travel fee, and refund terms where Booq supports those settings.
Provider terms must not restrict client rights that apply by law. Disputes about a provider service, attendance, deposits, refunds, or cancellation fees are primarily between the provider and the client.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use Booq in a way that harms the service or others.
- Do not use Booq for unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent activity
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to use
- Do not scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or overload Booq
- Do not send spam or unauthorised marketing through Booq
10. Provider content
Providers may upload or enter business names, logos, photos, service information, staff information, prices, availability, and other content.
You keep ownership of your content. You give Booq permission to host, copy, display, adapt, and use that content as needed to operate, improve, promote, and support Booq and your booking pages.
11. Third-party services
Booq may integrate with third-party services such as payment processors, hosting providers, maps, analytics, messaging providers, app stores, and authentication providers.
Third-party services are controlled by their own providers and may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Booq reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at a particular time.
We may update, change, suspend, or remove features where needed to improve Booq, maintain security, comply with law, or operate the service.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Booq at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, fail to pay fees, create legal or security risk, misuse the service, or provide false information.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
To the extent permitted by law, Booq is not responsible for provider services, client attendance, client payment to providers, route decisions, travel delays, lost earnings, business interruption, indirect loss, or losses caused by third-party services.
To the extent permitted by law, Booq total liability will be limited to the greater of GBP 100 or the fees you paid to Booq in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data. You can read it at getbooq.app/privacy.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
If you continue using Booq after updated terms take effect, you accept the updated terms.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes connected with these terms, except where applicable law gives you mandatory rights to bring a claim elsewhere.
